Our schedule was so packed on Monday evening when we normally would have had Family Home Evening (Kevin had his final for his LAST class for his Bachelors degree!!) that we moved it to tonight. In our family the one person is in charge each week. That person plans the lesson and conducts the meeting and for their treat is that they get to pick the treat at the end of the evening. It works for us.
Tonight was also Kevin’s night for the FHE lesson. He chose this article by Spencer W. Kimball as the basis for his lesson. In the article there are actually two quotes by Phillips Brooks that really struck me. So I looked him up. I found a few more quotes that I liked here. They seem especially appropriate given my post this morning. I love it when things work that way. So here are my favorites.
